Green Bay's All-Time Leading Receiver and Super Bowl Champion
Former Packers wide receiver Donald Driver is busy pursuing his aim to land a role in television broadcasting, and not necessarily in sports.
On Thursday, Driver concluded three days of television meetings in Los Angeles."Donald has had conversations with a number of networks for hosting, scripted, non-scripted and sports media opportunities," said Brian Lammi, the media agent for Driver (left).
Lammi said Driver was interested in both sports broadcasting opportunities and non-sports media roles.
"Donald has been approached about appearing in network comedy programs and non-scripted hosting roles," Lammi said. "It is an exciting time for him."
On Thursday, Driver co-hosted "SportsNation" on ESPN2.
In recent weeks, Driver served as the first co-host on Katie Couric’s show, "Katie," did some correspondent’s work for "Good Morning America," appeared on "Live! With Kelly and Michael," "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "Ellen."
A spokesman for ESPN said Driver is to be in Bristol, Conn., for a few days in March to serve as a guest analyst on a number of their shows, similar to Jeff Saturday’s visit there this Monday and Tuesday.
